Dumon Sensei started Shotokan Karate in 1986 in Paris, France with Jean-Pierre Vignau Sensei. Vignau was one of Taiji Kase Sensei’s students. Gichin Funakoshi, the Shotokan founder, sent Taiji Kase Sensei to Europe in order to spread his karate style around the World.
JP Dumon Sensei has a Track and Field, Rugby, and Triathlon background that helps inform and teach karate. He also shares his experiences using Shin Gi Tai concept (Mind,Technique, Body).
